Our Special Issue (Vol. 2 No. 2) on the Thai Constitutional Court is now available for download. It features articles and commentary about recent decisions by the Court, including on Thai-style militant democracy, fundamental rights, same-sex marriage, and the reform of the monarchy. It also contains an informative explainer describing the structure and procedures of the Court, translations of selected full opinions, and concise summaries of 12 other important decisions announced during the years 2019 – 2022. Conference on the Thai Constitutional Court: Recent Jurisprudence and Controversies
Since its creation, the Thai Constitutional Court has been at the center of numerous legal and political disputes. The conference and a Special Issue of Thai Legal Studies aim to cover major recent developments, with particular attention to cases that were decided from 2019 up to the present. In the previous months, Thai Legal Studies and the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, called for paper proposals for an academic conference on “The Thai Constitutional Court: Recent Jurisprudence and Controversies.” A number of paper proposals have subsequently been selected to present at the Conference which is set to be held on Saturday, 25
Call for Papers: The Thai Constitutional Court
Academic Conference and TLS Special Issue Call for Papers Thai Legal Studies and the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, are calling for paper proposals for an academic conference on “The Thai Constitutional Court: Recent Jurisprudence and Controversies”. The two-day conference (hybrid: online/in person) will be held on 24-25 June at the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University (Tha Prachan campus).
